Dr. Aamir Hussain is a dermatologist currently practicing adult and pediatric dermatology in Northern Virginia. He has a clinical interest in patch testing, and is an enthusiastic member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society Committee on Health Policy. Dr. Hussain enjoys working with diverse patient populations, and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, and Urdu. He is a clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University and Northwell Health, and passionate about mentorship and teaching. Dr Hussain has received teaching awards in three consecutive years from medical students at Georgetown University, and has written peer-reviewed journal articles about the best methods of preparing for dermatology board exams.
Dr. Hussain is an internationally-recognized speaker, writer, and educator on healthcare policy, medical education, and the intersections between spirituality and medicine. He has been interviewed by the New York Times, Al Jazeera, and PBS, and his writings have been featured in medical journals and several online outlets.In his personal time, he loves traveling, reading fantasy novels, and sharing bad puns — earning him the nickname “The Pun-isher.”
